'Kono Subarashi Sekai ni Syukufuku Wo! Kurenai Densetsu:(2019) Review

Kono Subarashi Sekai ni Syukufuku Wo! Kurenai Densetsu(God's Blessing in this Wonderful World! Crimson Legend) Anime Movie Review

Basic Plot :- Satou Kazuma, an introvert dies while seemingly saving a girl from a terrible accident. Aqua, the goddess of water, informs him that he's the chosen messiah(which he definitely was NOT) for a parallel game world which is been suffering from the wrath of Devil King and he will get a special power to accompany him, Kazuma chooses Aqua, thinking she would be useful(which she definitely was NOT). Later the Kazuma was joined by Megumin, an arch wizard from the clan of crimson demons and Dustiness Ford Lalatina(Darkness), a pervert crusader, with season 2 ending like this.

This movie revolves around the legend of Crimson demons, and a knight of Devil King's army Sylvia.

Characters :- Satou Kazuma along with his adventuring party Megumin, Darkness and Aqua are the main protagonists in the movie, along with YunYun, the daughter of the Chief of Crimson Demons, and Megumin's self proclaimed rival. Megumin receives a monstrous amount of character development in the series, which is on par with YunYun and Kazuma. We even saw a different side of generally pervert, Darkness. Aqua just had her arc before this movie, so it was fine for her being on the sidelines for a bit.
                         Satou Kazuma
                              Aqua
                           Megumin
       Dustiness Ford Lalatina(Darkness)
                              YunYun
The supporting characters mainly, Wiz and Vanir, two Devil King's knights which essentially switched sides and said we saw a great chemistry between Vanir and Darkness, and having a limited screentime Wiz continued her glory run she retained from the past arc.
                                Wiz
                             Vanir II

The main antagonist Sylvia was one of Devil King's strongest knights and a chimera. She has a body of female with a penis thus being partially male, common to her race. She had been hungry for love, as the only ones who confessed to her were Goblins and ocres. She has been shown to have an affection towards Kazuma, and a special hatred towards lovely female humans.
                               Sylvia

The Crimson Demons like Komekko, Megumin's parents(YuiYui and Hyozaburoo), the Chief, Aure, Dodonko, the Professor(Flashback), Ocres and Goblin army have all had their bits to the movie.

                      Megumin's Parents
                               Aure
                          Dodonko

BGM and OSTs :- Retaining the EXPLOSION track from the series, the movie added some badass fight BGMs to it. The OP Little Symphony and ED My Home Town being somewhat decent.

My Thoughts :- Megumin is awesome, arguably the best loli ever. The ship moments in this movie was GOLD, with her tsundere side being more highlighted than ever. Her background story was shown in a funny way, but was pretty emotional in the hindside.

Aside from that the movie had pretty cool fighting animations, coupled with great voice acting and pace. The best part of the movie is even if you're not that familiar with the series, you won't be much or rather not at all puzzled during the movie. All in all, I highly recommend the movie.

Ratings :- 8.75/10.

Kimetsu No Yaiba Manga Review

Basic Story :- Kamado Tanjirou, a Japanese mountain kid, is the eldest of five children of his family. After the death of his father, he has taken over to be the money earner of the family. In a winter day when he went to the town on the foot of the mountain to sell charcoal, his family was attacked by demons, killing all of them, and turning the oldest daughter, Nezuko into a demon herself. Nezuko turned out to be a different among other demons, as she stood to protect her brother while fighting a Demon Slayer, Giyuu. Later Giyuu offers Tanjirou to become one of Demon Slayer Corps' members seeing his ability. He sends him for training to Urokodaki, a former Hashira of Demon Slayer Corps and the water breathe user. Urokodaki, assures Tanjirou that there must be a way to turn Nezuko back into a human, for which they did need to defeat Kibutsuji Muzan, the first demon and the only one who can turn humans into demons(or that was speculated till then). Can Tanjirou, along with the other Demon Slayers defeat Muzan and turn Nezuko back into a human?

Characters :- Apart from Tanjirou and Nezuko, Hashibara Inosuke and Agatsuma Zenitsu were also quite important characters. Tanjirou started off as a one dimensional shönen protagonist, but by the end of the series had received enough character development to give justice to the Manga. Even though Nezuko didn't have much to say for the majority of the Manga, her actions made her character one of, if not THE best character in the series. Zenitsu, who originally started as a comedy gig became one of the most badass by the end of the series. Inosuke was a wild character with a sad back story, which was revealed late in the Manga and actually hit hard, but in my opinion his character could be used a bit more, or at least have a good solo moment.

                              Tanjirou
                              Nezuko
                               Zenitsu
                              Inosuke

The Demon Slayers, Kanao, Murata and Genya had their times of shining as well. Kanao even had one of the most important roles twice in the series, in the Sunrise Countdown Arc. Genya also had couple of character defining moments in Swordsmith village Arc and Sunrise Countdown Arc respectively.

                            Kanao
                            Murata
                             Genya

The Harshiras, Tomoika Giyuu(Water), Kanroji Mitsuri(Love), Kochou Shinobu(Insect), Uzui Tengen(Sound), Rengoku Kyojiro(Flame), Himejima Gomei(Stone), Shinazugawa Sanemi(Wind), Tokito Muichiro(Mist) and Iguro Obanai(Serpent). Each of the Hashiras had their own arc, where they shine, with Giyuu, Shinobu, Himejima, Sanemi and Muichiro getting deuteragonastic treatment.

                      The Hashiras

The rest of the characters include the Ubuyashiki family, which runs the Demon Slayer Corps; Tamayo, the fugitive demon and Yushiro, a demon created by her(also only demon not to be created by Muzan); Various flashbacks of the Kamado family and their ancestors; The Twelve Demon Moons; The Swordsmiths; The Butterfly House residents; Flashback of the former Thunder Hashira, Kuwajima Jigoro and Flower Hashira, Kochou Kanae; Urokodaki and rest of the Demon Slayers and fellow Demons.

                     Ubuyashiki Kagaya
                     Kibutsuji Muzan
                   Tamayo and Yushiro
                  Upper Moon Demons

Art Style :- Shönen Jump already has a great reputation for producing great mangas, Death Note and Naruto to name a couple. Kimetsu No Yaiba is no exception. Gotōge Koyoharu, the mangaka of the series has drawn the characters pretty well, the style is quite similar to Ishida Sui's Tokyo Ghoul. All in all the art style is great.

Final Thoughts and Anime Expectations :- The Manga is pretty cool, and almost flawless in terms of characterisation. Every character, that might look one dimensional redeems itself in a given arc. Ufotable has done justice to the Manga and the future looks pretty bright. If not messed up like Tokyo Ghoul; Kimetsu No Yaiba could very well find a spot in Top animes of the Decade. If you are into Mangas or just rather into Books, Kimetsu No Yaiba is a treat.

Ratings :- 8.25/10

"Tenki no ko(Weathering with you)" anime review

Basic Story :- Hodaka, a 16 year old Japanese country boy, runs away from his home to Tokyo(which was flooding that timeline) He meets Keisuke Suga and gradually starts working with him. He met Hina, a girl who had weather powers, and they start a business together. Everything's well until the consequences of Hina's powers are revealed. Be prepared for a heartwarming love story.

Characters :- The central main characters include the alpha mentioned Hodaka and Hina. The story gives their love story time. Hodaka has been a moronic self awkward character, and that's in a good way. Hina, on the hindside, showed a more mature and collected side, given she was an adult by the course of the movie. Hokada's iconic 'I love you more than the blue sky'(subs) dialogue shows how much development his character got.
Apart from them, Natsumi, Keisuke and Nagi were important characters.
Cameos from Kimi No Na Wa cast, and Taki's grandmother were pretty well fitted.

                                 Hina
                               Hokada
                              Natsumi
                              Keisuke
                                Nagi

BGM and OSTs :- Radwimps returned to the team for the music of Tenki no ko. The group has previously worked with Makoto Shinkai in Kimi Na Na Wa, two of whose tracks are in top 100 most viewed jpop songs in YouTube(with Zen Zen Zen Zense being at No. 5 as of May, 2020).
Collaborating with Toko Miura, Grand Escape is one of my favorite love songs.

Others Tracks include :-
• We'll be Alright
• Is there still anything Love can do?
• Voice of Wind
• Celebration

Animations :- Expectations were high going into this movie, especially in this field and CoMix Wave sure did exceed it. Arguably the animation was better than that of Kimi No Na Wa. The animations made one fall in love for Hina and Natsumi. The beautiful rain, the enormous city, the slums, the ships, the blue sky were beyond imagination. Kudos to the animation team.

Final Thoughts :- The movie was great but a bit too long. The animations and the music were the key factors redeeming the movie. Having pretty one dimensional storyline, the character developements also helped it. As for me, it wasn't as special as Kimi No Na Wa, but its definitely up there, in the elites. Also try watching it in TV, with dim lights.

Ratings :- 8/10.

"91 Days" Anime review

Characters and Story :- Vincent, the Don of Vanetti family, along with his son Nero Vanetti, and other gang members  kills the Lagusa family, leaving only the elder son, Angelo Lagusa behind, who ran away before Nero Vanetti could shoot him. Years later, Angelo, now known as Avilio Bruno received a mysterious letter which seemed to have come from his Father's friend with the names of the killers in it. Angelo then vows to take his revenge by killing the Vanettis. The series further reveals a lot of mysteries and gang war stuffs which is made almost realistic as possible. The characters include the alpha mentioned characters, who all have purposes to complete, the gang members; who were also given importance, Corteo; arguably one of the best character development in the series. The character of Nero Vanetti is greatly written as well. Fio Vanetti, the only female was given justice with how much time she'd been given.

OSTs and BGM :- The OP Signal by TK from Long Tosite Sigure was as expected a banger of a song. The show, as it projected, a gang warfare is silent for most parts but when needed it can put on of the strongest BGM. The Ending was only a hum "La, la, la" giving a more chilled and 19th century effect to the series.

Final Thoughts :- People who love story driven action contents, will surely fall in love with it. The series goes on to become more and more interesting. The only weak point of the series is the rushed ending. To be fair, I would recommend an otaku to watch this.

Ratings :- 7.75/10.
